A4サイズから切り出した2枚の台形型の板材と留め具のみで構成されたステーショナリー。 5㎜以下の板材に細かな型抜きを施して素材に柔らかさを与え、同一素材内で素材本来の硬さとの対比を混在させる試みの中から生まれた商品です。 硬い面ではテンションをかけて紙等を挟み込み、柔らかい面では筒状に変化させ物を立て掛けられる2つの仕様用途があります。 規則的に配置された型抜き部分は、それ自体が表面を彩るテクスチャであり、さらにそこから覗く断面と表面のコントラストや、 滑らかな曲面を生成する役割など意匠的な美しさも担っています。今回は木材と紙で同一加工を施したものを用意しておりますので、その違いも楽しんでください。
Oshikura is a stationary item composed only of two trapezoid shaped A4 sized planks held together by two screws. This object was born in an attempt to juxtapose the contrast between the hardness of the original less- than 5-millimeter plate material and the softness that is achieved by performing a fine die-cutting technique onto it. There are two methods of use: on the harder side, tension is applied to tuck paper-like objects between two plates and the softer side allows cylindrical objects to be held up. The methodically placed die-cut portion of the object is responsible not only for its a esthetic beauty, as it decorates and allows contrast between the textures of the cross-sections and the surface itself, but also for generating a smooth curved surface. This time, we have designed an object which has been manufactured by employing the use of both wood and paper. We encourage you all to enjoy the differences of these materials.
