FLOWER WEAR
これは花を主体とした花瓶である。
花瓶はそれ自体が芸術作品として発展してきた背景があり、花がない状態でも作品として成立する。一方で、本来の花瓶の役割は、花と調和し美しさを引き立たせることにあると考えた。
多くの工業製品や衣服が人間に合わせて作られるように、これは花に合わせる花瓶である。
ジッパーを上げ下げして衣服を身に合わせるのと同じ動作で、花に合わせて調節できる。その様子は、まるで花に服を着せるようだ。
ジッパーを全開にすれば、洗うのも簡単。花瓶の清潔さは花の寿命に直結する。

「ファスナー」や「チャック」とも呼ばれる。
誰しも一着はジッパーのついた服を着た経験があるのではないか。それほど身近で安価だが、機密性が高く、無段階で調節できるという優れたプロダクトだ。
衣服のみならず医療機器や液体輸送にも使われるほど機能性の高いジョイントである一方で、そのビジュアルが持つ軽やかさも魅力だと感じた。
様々な種類がある中で、今回使用したのはYKK(株)の止水ファスナー。防水性のある独特な素材感が、プロダクトのメインに相応しいと感じた。

This is a vase with flowers as its main component.
Vases have developed as works of art in their own right, and can be considered works of art even without flowers. On the other hand, the original role of a vase was to harmonize with flowers and enhance their beauty.
Just as many industrial products and clothes are made to fit people, this vase is made to fit flowers.
It can be adjusted to fit the flower in the same way that a zipper can be raised or lowered to fit a garment. Like as if putting clothes on flowers.
The zipper can also be opened fully for easy washing. The cleanliness of the vase directly affects the lifespan of the flowers.

Everyone has probably worn at least one piece of clothing with a zipper. It is a familiar, inexpensive, but most of all an excellent product because it is infinitely adjustable.
I found the lightness of their appearance appealing, as well as the joints which are highly functional and are used not only for clothing but also for medical equipment and liquid transportation.
Among various types of fasteners, we used YKK Corporation's watertight fasteners for this project. We felt that the unique waterproof material was suitable for the main component of the product.
