We reexamine and reconstruct the techniques and styles that have remained in Japan since ancient times. Enjoying the old and new views that can be seen in them, we propose a new form of interior design with the essence of the techniques from the region where it were produced. By combining superior Japanese techniques that are not visible from the exterior with modern industrial technology (three-dimensional processing), these concrete blocks were able to become furniture. A new way of incorporating kutsuishi (stone foundation) into the home has been born.

[ Kutsuishi (stone foundation)]
Kutsuishi is a foundation stone that supports the pillars of an entranceway, porch, etc. Kutsuishi, which support pillars in Japanese architecture, is one of the seismic isolation techniques that have been handed down from generation to generation in earthquake-prone Japan. Kutsuishi are no longer used due to changes in architectural styles, but they are still available at home centers for as little as 800 yen.
